Carl is a former professional first-class cricketer, with a 10 year playing career  at Surrey, Northamptonshire and Gloucestershire, retiring in 2008.

 

He has been a level 2 coach since 1998, before then qualifying as a level three coach and subseqently as a level 4 coach in 2018.

 

He has a vast array of coaching experience, having coached in many clubs and schools (both primary and secondary) across the last 28 years.

 

He was fast-bowling coach with the Sunrisers elite women’s franchise before then becoming the fast bowling coach with London Spirit women in the inaugural year of the Hundred.
